We sat down with one of our top advisers, Anthony Di Iorio, Co-Founder of Ethereum and Founder of Decentral & Jaxx to talk about the development of blockchain technology and how he thinks it’s the future of communication and data privacy.
Di Iorio, widely respected as a serial entrepreneur, VC, community organizer and leader in the field of decentralized technologies, has been behind some of Canada’s largest innovations when it comes to cryptocurrencies and blockchain. In 2013, Di Iorio and others launched the third highest crowd-funded project of all time, Ethereum. More recently, Di Iorio has created the innovative blockchain hub Decentral Inc. for disruptive and decentralized technologies.
When asked in the interview why he thinks the communication industry needs to change and what the implications of blockchain technology are for communication applications, Di Iorio responded, “I think there’s going to be a movement and people are starting to question… why we’re not in control of these things. We’ve accepted that communication needs to be run on centralized systems because technology frankly just hasn’t… been around that can enable more decentralized networks to be able to handle communication. What excited me about the project you guys are working on is that you’re challenging and tackling… the communication aspect.”
